Foam Core Cutouts for Kids

Why do we use foam core instead of cardboard for our cutouts?

1. Foam core is more durable and sturdier than cardboard. This means foam core is better for long-term displays because it will handle more wear and tear.

2. Foam core weighs less than cardboard, making it easier to transport and set up. This is very useful for situations where the cutout needs to be moved around.

3. The images look much better printed on foam core. Cardboard has a rough surface whereas foam core has a smooth finish, allowing for more precise and vibrant colours. This enhances the overall look of a foam core cutout.

4. Foam core is a stronger material than cardboard, so it won’t bend or crease like cardboard. Over time cardboard loses its appearance, the foam core cutout will maintain its appearance.

5. Foam core is a rigid material that is easier to cut and shape than cardboard, providing more freedom in creating figures and shapes than have narrower points like fingers or magic wands, etc.
